Brian Workman

SVP of Technology

Brian Workman is a seasoned technology leader with more than 15 years of experience spanning software development, cloud infrastructure, and senior leadership. His career includes building products inside large, complex organizations as well as serving as the first technology hire at an early-stage startup, where he helped establish the company’s technical foundation and delivery practices from the ground up. That work required translating vision into a scalable product and partnering closely with founders to build, iterate, and grow a platform that ultimately positioned the business for a successful acquisition. Brian later brought this operator’s perspective into consulting and advisory roles, including several years at IBM, where he worked with Fortune 50 companies on product delivery, platform modernization, and digital transformation. Today, as Senior Vice President of Technology at Brightwell, he leads teams responsible for building and supporting the systems that underpin the company’s mission.

Brian is driven by the belief that technology should be practical, thoughtful, and used with intention. He is deeply aligned with Brightwell’s focus on doing more with the resources we already have—helping organizations operate efficiently while directing savings toward the work that matters most. For Brian, the impact of his work is not abstract: it shows up in tools that support Brightwell’s partners, systems that help projects move forward with clarity, and platforms that ultimately return meaningful resources to nonprofits and the communities they serve.
