Cory Baitz
Cory Baitz serves as Vice President of Design & Product at Brightwell, bringing more than 15 years of experience as a licensed architect with a deep background in sustainable design and construction. Prior to Brightwell, Cory spent several years at EightTwenty, where he stood up and led the company’s design and engineering team, defining design standards and processes that supported the development of hundreds of solar projects.
At Brightwell, he has played a key role in scaling project delivery by establishing and managing a national network of EPC installer partners, ensuring projects are designed with consistency, constructability, and long-term performance in mind. His experience spans commercial architecture, renewable energy, and systems-based design, allowing him to bridge technical rigor with practical execution.
What motivates Cory’s work at Brightwell is the opportunity to provide access to solar for nonprofits and other tax-exempt organizations that would otherwise have no clear path to system ownership. He is deeply aligned with Brightwell’s mission to remove structural barriers and create solutions that allow organizations to benefit from clean energy without compromising their financial stability. For Cory, the work is about stewardship—designing systems that are thoughtful, durable, and aligned with the long-term needs of the communities they serve.
