Kent Cissell

President

Kent Cissell serves as President of Brightwell, where he helps guide the company’s vision, strategy, and long-term direction in service of its mission to unlock resources for nonprofit organizations. He is also a partner at Sustainable Holdings and a co-founder and president of EightTwenty. Prior to launching these ventures, Kent spent more than a decade at Global Payments, where he served in senior leadership roles including Senior Vice President and Head of Strategy. During his 13-year tenure, he was responsible for more than $1.5 billion in recurring revenue and played a key role in scaling teams, operations, and strategy across the organization. Throughout his career, Kent has been recognized for building strong cultures alongside strong results, with teams earning national recognition for both performance and workplace excellence.

At Brightwell, Kent is motivated by the opportunity to bring people, capital, and purpose together in a way that creates lasting benefit for communities. He is deeply aligned with the belief that nonprofits are foundational to a healthy society and that rising energy costs threaten their ability to focus fully on their missions.
